Showcased during the opening ceremony of RCPH 2026, this initiative has sparked strong interest among participants and exhibitors, highlighting its significance within the healthcare and scientific community.

As both a landmark national achievement and a living library of Malaysia’s rich heritage, The Malaysian Pangenome brings together genetic data from more than 4,000 individuals across 56 ethnic and sub-ethnic groups. This comprehensive effort reflects the diversity of our population while reinforcing a shared legacy—one that is deeply embedded within the DNA of our nation.

Beyond its scientific value, the initiative represents a powerful collaboration between public and private sectors, demonstrating a unified commitment to advancing genomic research, improving healthcare outcomes, and supporting the future of precision medicine in Malaysia.

This advancement marks a significant step forward in strengthening diagnostic excellence and elevating laboratory capabilities across the nation.

The launch was officiated by YB Dato Lukanisman Bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Health Malaysia, during an event themed “Pioneering Progress Together: Advancing Partnership and Innovation.” The ceremony highlighted a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of healthcare through advanced automation, artificial intelligence, and strategic collaboration.

Through this partnership with Mindray, the CAL 8000 enhances laboratory operations by increasing efficiency, improving precision, and speeding up turnaround times. These improvements empower clinicians with more accurate insights and support better clinical decision-making — ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes throughout Malaysia.
