As both a landmark national achievement and a living library of Malaysia’s rich heritage, The Malaysian Pangenome brings together genetic data from more than 4,000 individuals across 56 ethnic and sub-ethnic groups. The launch was officiated by YB Dato Lukanisman Bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Health Malaysia, during an event themed “Pioneering Progress Together: Advancing Partnership and Innovation.” The ceremony highlighted a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of healthcare through advanced automation, artificial intelligence, and strategic collaboration.
